Walk with Me

 

EVER WALK ALONE AND CAN’T GET AHOLD OF A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER?

With Walk with Me, our new in-app alert button, you don’t have to worry about not being able to get ahold of a friend or family member. It connects you to our 24/7 Response Center when you want someone on the phone in unsafe or vulnerable situations when you are alone, whenever you need it.

You will have a trained operator on the phone who is monitoring your GPS location and can dispatch authorities if the situation requires. While a friend or loved one might not know how to respond if something happens, our trained responders will track your location until you arrive safely and end the alert.

While 911 is only for true emergencies, the Walk with Me alert was created to be used any time you feel unsafe. The feature is intended to be used on a regular basis and is included in your subscription.

How it works?

* Set off a Walk with Me alert in your KATANA Safety App

* KATANA Safety 24/7 operators call you & stay on the phone until you arrive safely

* You end the Walk with Me alert by selecting ‘I’m OK’ in the App

* If the situation escalates, our trained operators can dispatch local emergency services  

 

Response Center Protocol

What happens if there is no answer when the Response Center calls?

As soon as an alert is triggered, the Response Center will call you. If there is no answer, the following voicemail will be left: “This is Katana Safety. We received a mobile alert from (User’s Name), please return our call at 800-358-2669. If we cannot reach you, we will contact your Circle with your last known location.”  After the voicemail is left, a  second call will be attempted, if no answer again, a third call will be attempted. At this point, after three unsuccessful call attempts, the appropriate Emergency Services will be dispatched. The Circle of Seven will be notified via text that an alert has been triggered, help has been dispatched, and they will be provided the location.

To subscribe to the Response Center you must first download the KATANA Safety App from the App Store or Google Play Store.

As you set up your KATANA Safety App, you will be prompted to choose a Response Center Subscription or enter your Subscription Gift Code. Follow the directions when prompted.
