The Origin of KATANA Safety
Years ago, while attending a fundraiser to combat human trafficking, our founder was shocked to learn that one in four women are sexually assaulted during their college career. As the father of two teenage children, including a 13-year-old daughter, he was determined to create a solution that could help those who find themselves in a dangerous situation.
Evaluating the Alternatives
The personal safety market was a crowded one, yet every solution was met with the same problem. They relied on the user remembering to load, charge, or not forget the solution before leaving the house. That’s when it occurred to him to create a personal safety device that worked in tandem with the only thing teenagers never forget - their phones.

A New Safety Solution is Born
After three years of intensive research, investment and development, the KATANA Safety solution was launched. KATANA Safety deployed a patented device that, with the touch of a button, overrides a smartphone’s lockscreen and connects its user with a 24/7 response center.
KATANA Safety Takes Off
The device received positive feedback from parents, but surprisingly, requests for bulk orders began to arrive from organizations looking to protect not their children, but their lone workforce.
KATANA Safety had officially become a provider of lone and remote workforce safety solutions, helping home healthcare providers, social service workers, and more find protection in vulnerable situations.
