Our quick-access devices connect via Bluetooth to your smartphone. This connection enables physical functions of the devices to trigger digital functions within the app, such as notifying our response center that an alarm has been sounded.

No. The devices only work in unison with the KATANA Safety app. What makes our devices so powerful is that they piggyback off of your phone’s capabilities, enabling faster, more accurate emergency response.

No. The KATANA mini comes with a 2-year battery life, and when leasing a device will be swapped out when a low battery signal is detected. KATANA Key Fobs are for purchase only and come with a 1-year battery life.

All our devices work via Bluetooth, so as long as they are within Bluetooth range, they will still function. We recommend mounting it on your phone because it’s the one thing we rarely forget to take with us!

When an alarm is triggered, our response center will first text, then call you. If you don’t respond they will repeat this process and then dispatch emergency services to your location. This process takes ~ 3-4 minutes, during which you can cancel the alarm at any time.
